Deep Relax & Rejuve (guided meditation)

Skill Level: All         

Join Beth for a blissful deep state of relaxation where you'll have the opportunity to recalibrate and create for yourself through guided meditation a fresh state of rejuvenation.  We'll set ourselves up for a deep relax with a different topic/theme each week as you lay comfortably on a yoga mat or blanket.

When you allow yourself to surrender & rest while being fully present in your body (staying awake in that sweet space of awareness right before falling asleep) change happens. From the relaxation state, Beth will guide you up into a more rejuvenating state so you can go back out into the world, work or home and embody your new perspective. It's the mid-week filling station for body, mind and soul!

Dress code and details: Come as you are and bring a yoga mat if you have one.

Meditation: The Practice of Feeling/Awareness

Skill Level: All         

Experience the glow of meditation. Meditation practice is a great way to gently cheer up. It brings emotional warmth and environmental friendliness. It highlights our interconnectedness. It cleanly severs distorted conclusions. It reveals our fundamental openness. It turns our mind into an ally. We make friends with ourselves.

Class details The first hour of class will consist of a 25-minute session of guided sitting meditation, followed by 10 minutes of walking meditation, and then another 25 minutes of silent sitting. After the meditation period is over we will have 30 minutes of discussion to share reflections, insights, questions, and answers. All the while we can practice gentle, whole-bodied listening, whether we are the ones speaking or not.

2nd and 4th Thursdays: 6 - 7:30 pm

Slow Flow that moves your Mojo

Skill Level: All         

Join Beth in a Slow Flow Vinyasa style practice.  Slow Flow classes connect accessible yoga postures with breath & fluid movement for a well rounded practice. This practice is versatile and can be exactly what a beginner might need to explore the postures and build confidence while getting familiar and for the more advanced student there is opportunity to refine, align and take the pose deeper.  This yoga is for everyBODY.

Dress code and details: Wear clothes that allow you to move freely.  Bring water and a yoga mat.

Sprouts on the Go — A Creative Movement Class for Toddlers

**Class will be held June 8th. It will pause for summer break and return in the Fall as sessions that you sign up for in advance. email Sierra Tabor for more information!**

Bitsy Sprout Class: 6 - 24 months

Sprout Class: 2 - 5 years

Sprouts on the Go is a positive learning space where babies and toddlers develop motor coordination, increase spatial awareness, and exercise their imagination through creative activities. The program teaches movement and cognitive skills through games, props, tumbling, and circle time. We will also focus on development of basic concepts like, directionality, perception, balance, and teamwork in a noncompetitive and success-oriented environment.

6-24 Months - Bitsy Sprout Class:
In the Bitsy Sprout class we encourage parents to join in as we explore fun ways to enhance physical and sensory awareness, leading very young children to a greater understanding of themselves and their surroundings.

Fridays: 3 - 4 pm - Last class 6/7

2-5 Years - Sprout Class:

In the toddler class children participate in various locomotor activities that focus on body awareness, motor fitness, rhythmic skill, strength, flexibility, coordination, and physical vitality. In these activities every child’s contributions are valued and their self-esteem enhanced through participation and interaction.

Fridays: 4 - 5 pm Last class 6/7
Saturdays: 11 am - 11 noon. Last Class 6/8

  • Classes are 45 min. long with transition time built in to either end of class.

STRONG by Zumba® (Starting June 6th)

Skill Level: Intermediate       

Stop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. In each class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing.

Dress code and details: clothing you can move freely in, sneakers/cross training shoes.

What to Bring: Yoga mat, water, towel (gloves are optional)

Viva Dance Fitness

Skill Level: All         Ages: All Ages

Viva Dance Fitness is a cardio workout that lets you shake your stress away! It’s a wonderfully fun mix of many different styles of dance, including Latin, Bhangra/Bollywood, swing, modern, hip-hop, belly dance, K-pop, country, and more. Get fit while having a great time!

Viva Dance Fitness is for everyone, no matter your age or skill level. We strive for participation, not perfection!

Whole Body Wisdom Yoga

Skill Level: All         

Yin Yoga is a practice with mostly passive poses.  Yin offers deeper access to your body on many levels (physical, emotional & spiritual)  It's a slower paced practice with a good amount of depth to the poses along with stillness and holding.  Some of the benefits: calming, regulates energy, lowers stress, greater mobility, releases fascia and is a great base for more Vinyasa type yogas if that's your jam.  

Dress code and details: Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.  Bring water and a yoga mat.

Saturdays: 8:30 - 9:45 am

Young Dragons

**Class will be held May 6, 13, 20, & June 3. It will pause for summer break and return in the Fall!**

Skill Level: All       Ages: 4+

This class offers an introduction to martial arts with basic techniques emphasizing body conditioning, coordination, flexibility, and strength. Students will learn a wide variety of stances and kicking and striking techniques that will then be combined into traditional bare-hand routines that introduce coordination of stepping, blocking, striking, and kicking while developing muscle memory. We will also be learning some valuable self-defense techniques.

Dress code and details: Please wear a solid black short-sleeve T-shirt and solid black fitness pants. No large or long pieces of jewelry, please. Hair should be neat and styled off the face, if possible. 

Mondays: 4 - 5 pm

The Instructors

Ryan Crowley

Ryan has studied martial arts since 1997 and has received his second degree black belt in Kung fu. Ryan has a family of 6 and is an acupuncturist and Manual Osteopath by profession.

Jeffrey Slayton

Jeffrey started meditating in 1995, at the age of 19, when he found out he was going to be a father. He had been reading books about meditation practice at the bookstore where he worked and was interested, but it was the tender challenge of parenthood that inspired him to actually sit down and meditate. In 2003 he began studying and practicing in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, and in 2010 he was authorized to teach meditation. Jeffrey is currently the Director of Practice & Education at the Shambhala Center in White River Junction, VT.

Sierra Tabor

Sierra, a licensed Zumba fitness instructor, decided to step away from the Zumba franchise to start her own dance fitness classes without Zumba’s restrictions. Working solo has allowed Sierra to create more diverse workouts that employ a broad multicultural music and dance repertoire [that runs the gambit from K-pop to Bollywood]. The resulting routines are challenging and always-fun ways to get fit and stay fit. Sierra also loves working with kids in her role as a substitute teacher for Brookfield Elementary School. Now she has channeled her passions for children and dance to create Sprouts on the Go!, a new movement class for babies and toddlers at the Arnold Block.

Beth Umba

Yoga has been an on again/off again love affair in Beth's 56 years around the sun! Heck, we're ever evolving and changing (right?!) and here we are!  Yoga is her current JAM.

She recently completed her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Mexico.  Beth's philosophy is: You're experiencing yoga any + everytime you're presencing yourself in movement or stillness in your body. She is not interested in the perfection of any pose ('cause there's no ceiling to yoga) but IS interested and totally in love with watching students find their own unique expression of the pose. Beth blends her bodywork experience (19 years) with her desire coaching and now gets to add in yoga and contribute to her world with humor, curiosity and a huge desire to make a difference. Beth lives in Bethel with her husband and is a mom to 3 amazing grown children and a Bumpy to her sweet granddaughter (and new lil' one on the way).  She has a constant hankering to travel to warm climates, do yoga, connect with people, belly laugh and contribute to others in ways that change the world.


Classes by Ryan Crowley: $15 per class, $12 per class with a 10 class punch card.

Classes by Jeffrey Slayton: $5 - $10 suggested donation. (No one turned away for lack of funds)

Classes by Brandi Smith: $10 per class or $80 for a 10 punch punch card. First class is always free and if you bring a new participant you will also get a free class.

Classes by Sierra Tabor: Viva Dance Fitness. $7 each, your first class is always free.

Sprouts on the Go: $4 per child per class - first class is always free for a new student.
